Fans of TV show 'Zari' have a reason to smile after Maisha Magic announced it will be releasing season 2 of the same show.
Mike Makori who acts as Lwanda portrays the character of a charming lawyer entangled in a web of love and revenge.
He now says playing that role hasn't been an easy task.
Makori was speaking during this year’s media content showcase at The Windsor Golf and Country Club.
" It has not been easy, it's very involving.
We give this project blood, sweat, and tears before it reaches you."
Did he expect the kind of reception Zari is getting?
"No, we did not."
Nzola Miranda, Managing Director, MultiChoice Kenya says Zari will be having season 2 launched.
Speaking during the just concluded MultiChoice Media Content Showcase, he shared
"The appetite and consumption of local content has gone over the roof.
That's a testament that Kenyans want more local content.
Kenyans are not only watching local content but they are paying for it.
Zari currently has the same viewership as the UEFA Champions League. It was launched six months ago."

Zari is a modern Cinderella story in which a young woman's rightful family fortune and inheritance are hidden from her.
The cast includes the renowned Sarah Hassan, Brenda Wairimu, and Mike Makori.
