Celebrated media personality Yvonne Okwara has clarified that she will still be at Citizen TV despite being appointed as the new chairperson of the Enactus Kenya Advisory Council.
In an update, an elated Okwara said that is ready to execute her new role to the best of her knowledge and capacity.
“I'm honoured to announce my appointment as Chair of the Enactus Kenya Advisory Council. Enactus partners with 33 universities, both public and private, and has impacted the lives of over 7000 graduates,” Yvonne Okwara said in part.
Okwara added that she has been with the Enactus Kenya Advisory Council since 2017 and has seen the importance of empowering young people.
“I have been with the council since 2017 and have seen first-hand the importance of empowering young people to innovate and connecting them with markets.
“It is now my greatest honour and responsibility to Chair the council and reinvigorates it following the slump in activities during the COVID-19 pandemic,” Okwara added.
She went on to answer the biggest question that has been on the minds of many regarding her future at Citizen TV.
“Oh and I'm still a journalist and serving in my current role, so you'll still see me on TV! I intend to use my strengths, networks, and platform to advance the work we've already been doing across the country! So help me God,” Yvonne Okwara clarified.
