Deborah Wangechi 23 is nursing injuries after she was allegedly scalded with hot oil by her boyfriend during a quarrel.

Esther Wangechi, Deborah's mum expressed her disappointment at doctors from a public hospital for allegedly refusing to treat her daughter due to the ongoing doctor's strike.

"My daughter cannot do anything because her hands have been injured.

Her bust is burnt. She was in so much pain, She was crying for doctors to help but I was forced to wash her yet I do not know how to wash or treat a burn patient."

The suspect who has since been identified as Isaack Kahiinga, 29  according to a News Highlight by NTV is still at large.

Deborah is among hundreds of Kenyans who have had to seek help in private hospitals as the doctor's strike enters it's third week.

Only doctors from Nairobi have resumed duties after Governor Sakaja vowed to honor their agreement.
