The first miscarriage that Kambua suffered was so heartbreaking that she was not sure what to feel if ever there would be a second attempt.

The singer on YouTube has recalled experiencing feelings of uncertainty when she tested positive for a second pregnancy.

This was for her son Nathaniel.

Her mother who lives abroad, dedicated a beautiful prayer asking God to grant Kambua a rainbow baby.

Kambua had spent several weeks with her mother and wanted to return to Kenya.

Before heading to the airport, her mother said a prayer that to this date the singer has nothing but gratitude for.

A rainbow baby is a term for a child born to a family that has previously lost one or more children due to stillbirth, miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, termination for medical reasons, or death during infancy.

"I was with her for a few weeks and it was so good for my heart. My mum has just had a way with my heart. I remember the day that I was preparing to come back to Kenya, she would always take time to pray before we left whether you were traveling back to your house or whatever, she would be like oh let's pray."

The prayer stood out for Kambua to date

"So she did what she would ordinarily do. Before we leave for the airport, let's pray. so we sat down to pray and I remember she was praying in Kikamba. She said God we thank you for the baby that you gave to us, and the baby came back to you, but now God we are praying that you will give us the one that will stay. "

That prayer left Kambua so emotional

"That prayer left me undone. I remember just breaking down so much because she was able to put into words what I hadn't been able to put into words and to express myself in a way that I couldn't, because really what I wanted was not just to get pregnant but to get pregnant and have a baby who would stay. A pregnancy that would last, a baby that I could hold,"
