Nadia Mukami certainly is taking Kenya to the world.
The Kai Wangu singer is in the USA. She travelled abroad to attend the AFRIMMA 2023 awards where she won the Best Female Artiste East Africa category, beating fellow nominees like Tanzania's Zuchu among others.
Dallas, Texas, US on Sunday, September 17, 2023. Mukami was nominated for the award with other artists like Zuchu and Maua Sama from Tanzania.
She graciously accepted the win in a wonderful message. The congratulatory messages soon followed with Kenyans noting how much she has worked to entertain fans.
Nadia penned her delight at her milestone
“The Biggest celebration: THE WEIGHT LOSS. I feel like God’s Favorite because I struggled for months and I hated music videos and pictures in General! I thank God for his unconditional love and for always giving me three things! Grace, Mercy & Favor. Queen of the East is my New Name Now, Thank you Afrimma,” The mother of one wrote via social media.
For this win, Nadia has announced that a major party to mark her achievement will be held.
The party will be in Seattle on Saturday, September 23.
"Come through, let's have a good time, we will be dancing" she promised Kenyans fans in the US about the 2023 African Muzik Magazine Award party.
Nadia is also performing in several concerts.She is also set to go head to head next month with other nominees after being nominated in this year's TRACE continental awards to be held in Kigali, Rwanda in October.
