It has been four years since Jahmby Koikai underwent 21 surgeries to deal with Thoracic Endometriosis.

She is celebrating the end of that harrowing experience in the hospital as doctors fought to save her life.

Thoracic endometriosis is a rare condition that happens when endometriosis patches grow on or around the lungs. This can cause shortness of breath, chest pain, cough, and in some cases, a collapsed lung.

Thankfully, she has not had a health crisis since and is happy to mark a new chapter in her life.

On her social, she penned

"Today marks 4 good years since I came back from the US after undergoing specialised treatment at the @centerforendocare for Endometriosis and Thoracic Endometriosis. 21 surgeries. I am a miracle. I've been through ups and downs. Recovery has not been easy but I'm nowhere near those dark days. No lung collapses ever since. Rebuilding my body and strength."

She said that a team of specialists successfully dealt with that

Three surgeons, including an endometriosis specialist and a thoracic surgeon, diagnosed her with Stage IV Endometriosis and catamenial pneumothorax with diaphragmatic endometriosis. She set up a GoFundMe to help offset the huge hospital bill.

"Grateful to God, my family, and the people who've seen me through this process. I know many of you have been wondering how I've been coping after coming back. I'll do a series on that to show you what I've done to get to this point of recovery.

I'd like to thank all my doctors, Dr. Maurice Muhinga, Dr. Ken Sinervo, and the entire team who are always a phone call away."

"I spent my afternoon studying my medical records in detail and I still can never believe all that Dr. Sinervo and Dr. Gouldman had to endure as my case was termed as one of increased difficulty at Stage 4."

Jahmby has always been going public with her testimonies and gaining support and prayers along the way.
